The LCSFwas established in 1989 to increase public involvement in and support for Levy County public schools.
The organization channels funds from the private sector into programs that educational opportunities countywide.
The LCSF encourages imaginative and creative approaches to teaching, while recognizing and rewarding excellence in education.
An independent nonprofit, 501 (c) 3 organization, the foundation provides support for innovative programs where tax dollars cannot be used and budgets fall short.
Since it's inception, many committed individuals, businesses and organizations have worked collaboratively with the Foundation by contributing time and money to support the Foundation's work, enabling the Foundation to disburse funds for teaching grants, scholarships, awards and education supplies to the students and staff of the School Board of Levy County.
